Artisan Textures and Drywall, Inc. specializes only on true decorative plasters: venetian plasters not faux finishes. “Faux” means it is decorated to imitate venetian plaster and does not simulate the true feel and look of the original marble or stone finishes.
True venetian plasters are lime-based plasters that dry hard and continue to cure for months afterward as the lime crystallizes and interlocks from the reaction between humidity in the air and the lime. This process is called carbonization as the slaked lime absorbs carbon from the air and reverts back to its original limestone state. A considerable amount of lime putty is applied, precisely textured and then burnished for a sheen. After burnishing, the lime putty is waxed, buffed and given depth to each individual wall. While creating and re-defining your interior walls, it is then characterized to bring out the architectural beauty and elegance from years ago. Choose from specialized techniques such as Old World Stone finish and High Sheen Marble polished finish.
